Suffolk County rat removal tip of the month: Rat on roof - A rat on the roof is not something you should be panicked about. If the rat is on the roof and you have taken care of the exterior of your home, there will be no way for the animal to enter the building. Rats only need a small space in a damaged vent or unprotected chimney seal to make their way into a home. This is why the exterior maintenance of your property is so important. If the rat is still there after a few days, get the ladder out and do an inspection. It is possible that an area of the home was damaged from the weather and the rat is working at getting inside.
