We are experts in rat control, and are not your typical Frisco, Texas pest extermination company. We don't use poison, since it simply doesn't work, not to mention it causes rats a long, painful death! Poison doesn't kill right away, which means the poisoned rats almost never die where the poison was originally placed, and finding the rodent carcasses means it would take even longer to rid your house of rats. Frisco rat removal tip of the month: No access to rats in attic - If you have no access to rats in the attic, you may need to make some access. If you have an attic, there should be a way to get inside of it. But before you go opening up your ceilings, you need to go outside of the home and close up the rat holes in the exterior. Until you do this important step you will have rats and will not be able to trap them effectively. Now that all the entry points in the home are sealed, you can think about how to trap the rats in the attic. Ideally, traps need to be set in the areas where the rats have been active. You cannot get rid of rats in the attic unless you can access the space in some capacity. You may need to create an attic door in the ceiling of a closet on in the outside of you home. You cannot trap rats in the yard and assume they are the same rats from your attic, and you cannot close off the rat holes in your home without trapping the rats inside. If you let the rats trapped inside do as they please, they will likely try to create new holes to the outside world when the pain of starvation begins to set in. Snap traps baited with peanut butter will be effective to catch rats, but they do need to be placed in the attic where the rats are. If this task doesn't seem possible, consider asking the help of a wildlife professional.
